WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that allows artists to drastically correct, enhance or fully reconstruct your eyebrow. Eyebrow Microblading is performed by manually depositing pigment under the top layer of the skin by a special hand tool. It does not involve the use of a machine. Unlike other permanent cosmetic brow treatments, the Microblading technique involves drawing individual, crisp hair strokes that are more natural looking
After filling out intake and consent forms, we will talk about the desired outcome for your brows. It is recommended that you bring a picture with you of eyebrows that you like. I will then numb you for approximately 20 minutes and during this time we will discuss post care information. A few customized pigments will be applied to your skin to determine the desired tone and darkness. After the pigment is chosen I will proceed to do a professional brow mapping followed by a free-handling stencil of the eyebrow shape. Once we have agreed on a shape, thickness, length and arch we will then start Microblading.
How long do the results last?
Microblading will last as long as they are maintained. This treatment is considered semi-permanent and will not wash off, but over time will fade. Untouched, the ink will last anywhere from 1-3 years.
Is It Painful?
There is some discomfort associated with the procedure. A topical anesthetic is used to numb the area before and during the procedure. People say the sensation is similar to getting threaded and/or tweezing.
Please return at 4-6 weeks after the initial Microblading treatment for the touch-up session. Microblading is a two-step process and the touch-up session is necessary to set the shape and color of your new brows. It’s the same process as the original treatment, although typically shorter in length since we will be following the brow shape and color from the initial appointment.
